AEA 267 Cedar Falls AEA 6th Grade Math Bee
If your district is in the Cedar Falls area of AEA 267, join us for some fun on the morning of March 2nd. Bring a 6th grade team of four students for a morning of solving math problems. There will be 3 Team rounds and 5 individual rounds.

Test Topics
Students will be able to use calculators on any problem except the number sense/estimation test. Students will need to bring their own calculators with them. Test topics will mirror the National Council of Teachers of MATH Standards. The topics will be: Open-ended Tasks, Patterns & Functions, Estimation and Number Sense, Geometry & Measurement, Ratio/Proportion/Percentage, Probability Statistics, Group Problem Solving and Group Challenge Problems.
Whos Eligible? All 6th grade buildings may send teams of students with alternate(s). A team consists of 4 students. This is for 6th grade age students regardless of the level of mathematics they are taking.
Cost Each team pays $8.00 per team to help cover cost of printing and awards (if your district is sending two teams, you will need to pay $8.00 for each team). Make checks payable to AEA 267. Registration
This years registration will be done electronically. You have until February 17th to register your team. Register at the following address http://survey.aea267.k12.ia.us/survey/4421/6d70/ If you need to make any changes after you register, you will need to contact Jeff at 319-273-8225. You cannot make changes electronically.
State Math Bee It looks like this year, the State Math Bee will be held at the Fort Dodge High School. It will be Saturday May 5th, 2007. The top three teams and top three individuals will be sent to the contest.
