Our goal is to Improve student learning
We are available for consultation with educators regarding curriculum, instruction, assessment, and the use of technology in the content area of mathematics. Our emphasis includes problem-based learning, higher-order thinking skills, conceptual understanding, differentiated instruction, and Iowa Core Mathematics.
On April 25, 2008, the Iowa legislature approved mandating the Iowa Core for all students in grades 9-12 by 2012 and grades K-8 by 2014. The Iowa State Board of Education adopted the Common Core State Standards for mathematics as the Iowa Core in mathematics. It provides local school districts and nonpublic schools a guide to delivering instruction based on consistent, challenging and meaningful content to students.
