Using Forms Directions
Downloading Adobe Acrobat Reader

Macintosh

 

Windows

  1. The operating system must be 10.4+ (To verify, click on the Apple in the top left corner and select About this Mac).
  2. If you are an AEA support person and you do not have at least OS 10.4, contact the appropriate computer technology person for an update.
  3. You must have Adobe Reader 8.0 to complete, save, and print the forms which are in the Adobe format.
  4. Go to Adobe.com to download Adobe Reader.
  5. If under Step 1, click on the Select your version of Mac OS... pull down menu and select Power PC. However, if you have a laptop with a built-in camera, you probably need to select Intel Processor.
  6. After you make a choice, click on the Download Adobe Reader button.
  7. Quit the browser application.
  8. Double-click on the AdbeRdr8.dmg icon located on the desktop.
  9. This will open a window, double-click on the Adobe Reader 8.0 installer.
  10. Adobe Reader 8 will be downloaded to your Applications Folder.

 

  1. The operating system must be Windows 2000, XP or Vista. (To verify, click on My Computer and select System Properties General Tab for the version of Windows).
  2. If you are an AEA support person and you do not have Windows 2000, XP or Vista, contact the appropriate computer technology person for an update.
  3. You must have Adobe Reader 8.0 to complete, save, and print the forms which are in the Adobe format.
  4. Go to Adobe.com to download Adobe Reader.
  5. Choose the Continue button when the page comes up to download the software.
  6. If the download does not start automatically, click on the sentence “click here to download.” 
  7. A box will open asking you to “Run, Save, or Cancel”. Click the Run button. 
  8. Follow the screen directions to finish the install.
